Students with access to LionPATH can submit a request to withhold directory information with the Change Directory Info (FERPA) form in LionPATH. In addition to verifying your student information, you also must upload a clear and valid photo ID to your request.
Prior or current students who do not have access to LionPATH must submit their request using the Request to Withhold Directory Information form on the Office of the University Registrar website.
The following instructions detail how to submit a request to withhold directory information in LionPATH.
Step 1To access the Change Directory Info form, log into LionPATH and click the "Academic Records" button.
Step 3You will first see important information about the impact of requesting to withhold your directory information. Carefully read this information, and then click the "Next" button.
Step 4In order to continue with the request, you must first acknowledge that you understand the consequences of your decision to prevent the release of your directory information. After carefully reading the content on the screen, click the "I Agree" button to continue.
Step 5Verify that the student information is correct.
Next, a clear and valid photo identification must be uploaded to your request. To attach your photo ID, click the "Upload" button.
Step 10After submitting your request, a confirmation screen acknowledging receipt of your request to withhold directory information will appear. An email notification also will be sent to your official Penn State email account.
Your request will be reviewed and processed by the Office of the University Registrar within 1-2 business days.
