UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Spring 2020 course registration opens on October 9, 2019 for undergraduate students and October 8, 2019 for graduate students. Students can determine the first day they are eligible to register for spring 2020 courses by viewing the registration timetable or finding the date in the Enrollment Dates box in the LionPATH Student Center. To help students prepare to register for courses, here is a guide through the registration process along with key dates and resources.
The Spring 2020 Pre-Registration Activity Guide will be available in student accounts beginning Sept. 13-14, 2019.
Prior to enrolling in classes, students are required to complete the Spring 2020 Pre-Registration Activity Guide, which includes verification of emergency contact information and the Financial Responsibility Agreement (FRA). The FRA is a promise to take financial responsibility for payment of the student account. A Financial Responsibility hold will remain on a student's account until he/she has completed the Activity Guide.
Your Pre-Registration Activity Guide can be found in your To Do List within the LionPATH Student Center. Once the To Do List link is selected, your Pre-Registration Activity Guide will be displayed.
For a detailed walkthrough on how to complete the Pre-Registration Activity Guide, please view the video tutorial or read the step-by-step instructions.
Spring 2020 enrollment shopping carts will open in LionPATH on Sept. 18, 2019 for undergraduate and graduate students.
The Shopping Cart is where students can create and maintain their class schedules for the upcoming semester. It is used to temporarily save classes until it is time to enroll for the semester. (Note: Placing a class in the shopping cart does not mean the student is enrolled in the course or that a space will be held for a student in the class.)
Students are advised to "validate" the courses they have placed in their shopping cart before their Enrollment Appointment date (first day a student can register). Validating checks if a student can enroll in the selected courses or if there is a potential problem such as a time conflict, prerequisite requirement, course control, etc. Validating their shopping cart will give students the opportunity to correct any course selection errors before they are eligible to enroll in Spring 2020 courses.
To validate courses in the shopping cart, place a checkmark in the checkbox to the left of all classes and then click the "validate" button.
Courses can be added to the shopping cart via the "Add to Cart" feature, the LionPATH Planner, or Schedule Builder.
To learn more about how to use the LionPATH Shopping Cart please view the LionPATH Shopping Cart video tutorial or read the step-by-step instructions.
Students can search for Spring 2020 classes within the LionPATH Student Center via the Class Search or by using Schedule Builder. Selected courses can then be placed in the LionPATH enrollment shopping cart for validation. Once eligibile to complete enrollment, simply place a check next to the desired course(s) in the enrollment shopping cart, click the "enroll" button, and verify that the enrollment process is complete.
